Do you think she knows?…

Do you think she knows how sad I am that she is getting so big?  Surely not, because if she did – she wouldn’t be so happy about it.

Do you think she knows that I wasn’t ready for her to loose her top two baby teeth?  Surely not, because if she did, she wouldn’t have knocked out one of them falling off the swing and loose the other one two days before she graduates kindergarten.

Do you think she knows I wasn’t ready for her to graduate from Kindergarten and seem so big when she played Alice in her graduation play of “Alice’s Adventures in learning” (she did so good).  Surely not, because if she did, she wouldn’t have been so excited and happy about getting there on time if not early and has been so happy to be out of school already (except I will say she really misses her teacher Ms. Lueck and still talks about her non-stop a week later).

Do you think she knows how silly she is and how much she makes me laugh? – yes, this I know she knows – because when I was taking these pictures of her yesterday and she was being such a goofball – and I was asking her to stop – she said “but mom, I can’t help it, I was made to be funny.” – how do you argue with that?

Do you think she knows how proud I am of her and how much I love her so much?  I hope she does – I try to tell her and show her constantly.  I love you my sweet Jaden – you make my life so fun and exciting.

So on that note – when you have a child like this you realize that everything you say is heard and remembered FOREVER (with this kid anyway).  She doesn’t miss a beat.  The other day she brought home her graduation picture from school and she had such a fake smile – which I proceeded to tell her and she told me “mom, when I smile that is just what comes out.”  I told her no it isn’t – you have a wonderful smile. – and then she says “you know what mom – you get what you get and you don’t throw a fit.” – Is this kid for real?

Then today she was putting together a puzzle and she had to take it apart first cause her sister had put it together yesterday – she tells me that she is cheating cause she is keeping some of the pieces together so she wont have to do them again – and I told her that she shouldn’t cheat and that that wasn’t fair – she says “well mom, life’s just not fair” – AHHHHHHHHH! Help me!
